Record a Memory: Grandmother, Tell Me Your Story is a recordable keepsake journal that provides grandmothers with the opportunity to document their life stories and record their memories for their grandchildren. The journal is designed to help Grandma record life's major events; personal thoughts and anecdotes; and family history and traditions through audio recordings, photos, and the written word. The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book's batteries are changed.

Written prompts and fill-in-the-blanks help determine what kind of information to note. Each section of the journal features a place to display a photo and a recording opportunity to talk about a favorite story or memory. You can record what you've written on a page, or come up with a recording idea of your own. Recording your voice is easy. Follow these directions:

• Choose the page to record.
• Press the REC button and the button with the corresponding illustration at the same time. Hold them down until you hear a beep, and then begin recording. Each button offers up to 90 seconds of recording time.
• When finished recording, press REC again. Press the illustrated button to hear the recording. Re-record until you are satisfied with the recording. Repeat the process for each page.
• Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won't be inadvertently erased. Three replaceable AAA batteries come with the book.
