Grandparents and other special people in a child's life can create a personal memento reading the classic fable Three Little Pigs. The recorded voice is saved to the book's pages for children to enjoy again and again. The storybook makes an ideal gift for children ages 18 months and older from out-of-town relatives, a parent who is away from home frequently, or someone in the military assigned to a faraway land. Classic Record a Story: Three Little Pigs is easy to set up. Follow these directions: - Press the button with a microphone icon. Wait for the beep and then begin reading the story. When you are ready to turn the page, press the button with the bell illustration, then turn the page and continue recording.
- When you are finished reading the entire story, press the stop sign button. While you are recording, you can start over at any time by pressing the stop sign and then pressing the microphone again. You can re-record until you are satisfied with your recording.
- You can also record a personalized message on the dedication page.
- Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won't be inadvertently erased. Your voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book's batteries are changed. Three replaceable AAA batteries that power the sound module come with the book.

Cute but needs improvementAug 26, 2011
By Lourdes Leon The book itself is very nice, but the quality of recordings is poor. Even if you speak loud and close to the microphone. Hopefully my grandson will know it is me reading the story...

Ok product, would not purchas againJan 10, 2012
By brittster I got this book because my husband is gone a lot and my kids LOVE when daddy reads stories to them. The book itself is great. It records VERY easy. The three main issues we had were, 1) The sound was VERY muffled; we tried recording many different times and got the same effect. 2)You have to record the whole story at once so if you mess up on a page you can't just start that page over, you start the whole book over. 3) If you have younger kids that will be pushing the buttons on the side, they can stop the whole story 3 pages in or whatever and you have to start the whole book over.

By sci-fi-guy Easy to use. Record your voice, personality and humor for your children, grandchildren and their friends. Had a great time sitting with the kids recording the story.
Not as nice as other recordable booksFeb 14, 2012
By MonikaD Pictures are nice, but quality of recording is weak. The sound is somewhat muffled no matter how you record yourself. Also, it is one long recording; you add the bell for page turning yourself while you read. No stopping, so a young child may not understand to turn the page, and therefore get behind in the book as you are reading. Not as happy with this book as I have been with others!

By Kathryn H. Clair My granddaughter loves to hear her grandfather reading her this book. Her giggles and laugh proved her approval! A great gift from grandparents!
